Fall Leaves Table Runner - Artist Creations - Ginger Rutland
What is more perfect for the fall season than colorful leaves falling from the sky? When asked once where I got my patterns for my leaves, I immediately went outside and picked up leaves from several different trees. It's the perfect way to get the veins in the right lines and places. Pliable leaves soon after they fall are easier to work with than after leaves have dried out. After appliquéing the leaves in place, I hand quilt around the leaves. Then I quilt the veins giving texture to the design. Use on a table by itself and you don't need a centerpiece.
